Tayside: A Maritime History This page is devoted the the nautical heritage and maritime history of Tayside, a region on the east coast of Scotland. The TAMH website allowes the researcher to search for individual voyages and mariners (approximately 3500 records, mostly from the 16th and 17th century) as well as providing more general maritime historical information of this area.

Heroes in the Ships: African-Americans in the Whaling Industry This webpage, hosted by the Kendall Whaling Museum of Sharon, Massachusetts, is dedicated to the history of black whalers in the New England Whaling Industry. NOAA Historical Map and Chart Collection This database of historical charts is maintained by NOAA. It contains a wealth of information, including old nautical charts of river systems and offshore locales. Most of these date from the 19th century through the 20th century. The website can be sorted by state/region, or type. The maps can be viewed with a www browser or downloaded in a high-resolution TIFF format.
